Born 1949, in Barnsley, Yorkshire, of English/Polish origin. After several years training as a painter, I have worked as a practicing artist and teacher of art, for over 40 years.
In the early1980s, I was involved with the "Art in Hospitals Scheme" organized by Edna Read and supported by East Midlands Arts Council and had ten solo exhibitions as part of the scheme. I have taken part in numerous group shows and artist residencies nationally and internationally, and have achieved over twenty solo exhibitions. In recent times I have strengthened my connection with Poland, having two major solo exhibitions as well as taking part in several residencies and group shows. From 2016 to 2020, I was a resident artist at Crescent Arts, Scarborough. i am currently studying on an MFA course at Sheffield Hallam University.
